The WEM Energy App
The WEM Energy mobile app is for customers and operators with a WEM account; accounts are created by WEM, there is no self sign-up. The app processes the email address and name of your account, the data of the sites your account can see (shown in the app, not collected from your phone), and a sign-in session that is stored encrypted on your device. Your app language, notification choice and the data shown in the home-screen widget are stored on your device only. If you unlock the app with a fingerprint or face, your phone checks it; the app never receives biometric data. The app contains no advertising, no analytics and no tracking, and it does not collect your location, contacts, photos or files. All data travels encrypted (HTTPS) between the app and WEM servers in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany).
Deleting Your Account
To delete your WEM account and the personal data that belongs to it, email support@wem-energy.com from the email address of the account, or ask the WEM administrator at your company. We delete the account and its personal data within 30 days and confirm by email. Records we must keep by law (for example invoices) are kept only for the legal retention period. Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored on your phone.
